  1. I thought he was at Rangers a few years back for a short spell . Maybe I'm thinking of someone else ?
  2. Rather they just got gubbed another 7-0
  3. No problem with Gilks but I'd have gone for Wes , just think he would know how his defense works that wee bit better . Obviously if Gilks was promised cup games we should honour that , but should that have occurred ? I don't know , maybe it was a condition in his signing .
  4. Poor guy must even look like a tarrier - KM spotted him as soon as he looked up .
  5. I think that's a fair summation . I've certainly seen an improvement in performance pre c....c game , even if the results haven't shown it . We've improved since Barton has been dropped , and while I don't think weve hit the heights of some of our performances last season , we've shown more urgency , and overall , the performances have got better . Weve got a fairly reasonable run of league games coming up , which gives us a chance to increase confidence and turn these improved performances into points .
  6. Exactly my point of view , to a point . Dont want to keep repeating myself but yeah . I'd have suspended him for the initial week to let things calm down and then put him in the reserves , like you say . It's the only way you can see what his reaction is i.e.attitude , hunger , temperament. How you can gauge that while he's sitting in a house , I'll never know . For what it's worth , I think we've played better without him , but he's obviously got something going by his last season , so let's have him as an option , if needed . If that isn't an option , then let's get an agreement with him , for example , if it is a 2 year deal we pay him one , and let him get a club in the New Year because the way we've gone about this , and the way he's been treated by keeping on extending his ban , we will just end up having to pay out his contract in full , should he go to some kind of tribunal . Really think we could have dealt with it better .
  7. I just think we could have dealt with it better . I think we've been better without him and you're right we should be focused on what we do but our inability to deal with it properly has made it a media sideshow that could distract us . These on going ' extensions ' are helping no one . I'd have preferred , as I'd said previously , to put him in the reserves , see how his attitude is and maybe , just maybe , we have the option of finding the JB we'd all hoped we'd get . Failing that , and if there is to be no return , why not say so , and come to an agreement with JB and finish it quickly . Because the way we are going about it I can see us paying out the rest of his contract with no return .
  8. Thought for the first 60 minutes it was a good performance and though we slowed down a bit after that the defense were pretty solid . Not bad for a place , historically , we've found difficult .
  9. yep that's the way it's been .
  10. Yeah I suppose . I just feel Rangers haven't dealt with this very well , thus making it a bit of a clusterfuck .
  11. In what way ?
  12. Aye I'm for real . Im not arguing his case on the park , he's been average nothing more . No blue chip signing as far as I'm concerned . I'm arguing more the way he's been treated . If you think we're playing a game where we don't have to pay out his contract , I doubt that will now happen with this on going ' extensions ' . If this was my work and my company told me to come back after a week , then suspend me for another three , then another one , then indefinetly , I'm pretty sure I'd have an argument for the way they have treated me in hoping I'd just pack it in . Totally irrelevant to how JB has performed for us , it's how we've dealt with this , and Rangers , I think , have fucked it up .
  13. The way they've treated him , there's no chance of that .
  14. Why didn't Rangers tell him to stay away that first week to let tempers settle ( which they did ) then tell him he's going into the reserves for a few weeks and then be in a position to see how things developed . ie his attitude etc. This is just turning into a clusterfuck because if we thought we could save money in his contract , all he has to do now is show how he's been treated and we've no chance .
