In what way did he struggle to perform it? What more could he have done in your eyes? Halliday had a good season last year playing in a position that was alien to him. The reason Barton and Rossiter was because we didn't actually have any CDM and it would allow Halliday to push forward.

His goal and general play last night reminded me of Barry Ferguson. And before anyone says it I am in no way saying Andy Halliday is anywhere near the same class as Ferguson was in his prime.

I don't think he's the typical MW type winger. Players like McKay, Forrester etc who like to come inside and link with the midfielders/forwards. That's why I hope I'm wrong about him as he does offer something different to the rest.

Worth noting that McKay played around 40+ games last season and then only had about a week and a half holiday all summer as a result of being away with Scotland and the League cup starting so early.

For him to do that against one of the better teams in the same league as us. I hope I'm wrong here btw. I'd love nothing more for him to get the nod on Sunday and have an absolute blinder, I just can't see it.

Agree with this. As much as I thought he had a great game last night starting him on Sunday would be a mistake IMO and show MW has learnt nothing from the old firm game.

Personally there are others I'd play ahead of him.

Look at the opposition. He goes missing for large parts of the game with the occasional attempt to take his man on the outside which will result in us getting a throw. Like I said, good impact player perhaps but I can unsderstand why MW leaves him out a lot of the time.

Was really impressed by Hodson. However, Wallace and Tav will be the full backs on Sunday without a doubt. Shame.

Honestly don't get the fuss on here about MOH. Comes up with the odd ball across the box but apart from that does absolutely nothing in games. I'd say he was more an impact player off the bench as we have better options in the forward positions.
