Express Sport can reveal the Light Blues are now back at the top table and joined Celtic for a meeting with representatives from several European clubs in Amsterdam last month. Many of the sides – outside of England, Germany, Spain and Italy – are concerned over plans to revamp the Champions League and to give the big-four leagues another automatic place in the competition. The proposal could make qualification for the Scottish champions to get into the group stages even harder. Express Sport understands a number of proposals, including Atlantic and even Transatlantic leagues, were amongst the options that were discussed at the Dutch summit. Those discussions are still at the early stages but could be stepped up depending on UEFA’s stance over the coming weeks. Reports emerged in Spain last week that the Champions League changes had been killed off, but that was denied to Express Sport by senior Scottish Professional Football League sources Rangers had been a prominent member of the European Club Association but were forced to take a backseat after being relegated to Scotland’s bottom tier. The Ibrox side are still viewed as one of the top clubs on the European front and still have major pull. Rangers are looking to try to seal their European return next season via the Premiership or by winning the Scottish Cup. There have been some question marks whether they would need to be granted special dispensation because their accounts since they started on the bottom rung don’t adhere to UEFA’s Fair Play license. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/739781/Rangers-Celtic-hold-talks-over-possible-reshaping-Champions-League-News-Gossip

You actually typed that without a hint of irony ... I'm impressed
-
Again, quite happy sitting in my seat every home game .. don't know why, just because I hold a different opinion to you you don't think I should be at Ibrox? What if I disagree about a formation or a player, or how about a corner that did or didn't go our way ... should I check with you before I form any opinion, do you have a hotline number I can use to contact you first.

Again, I have no issue with highlighting it from a keyboard, or highlighting it through a cause or charity. I will always have an issue with it being sung about from a terrace, at a football match, it's just not for me.
-
Write about it .. fine, campaign about it ... also fine. Sing about it from the terraces of a football ground .... not fine !
-
Sometimes it's better people think you're an idiot rather than open your mouth & confirm it
-
Because I did
-
Actually, yes I do .. I found the link to RFC via a game between 2 other clubs that don't even include RFC tenuous at best. However, I don't think that negates the point he makes.
-
Do you think honestly that the CFC support are Peadophiles .. every man, woman & child at Parkhead on a game day are child abusers? I very much doubt it but yet you sing about it, it's exactly the same as when those idiot bloggers write about RFC support as Klan, no I don't think they believe that either but it serves thier purpose to say it anyway.
-
You're using the act of child abuse to sing songs about the act of child abuse .. it's wrong, I'm not sure what else I can say.
-
Thanks very much but I'm perfectly happy here
-
And just to double down on my post above .. When you get upset about Haggerty or Phil or any other idiot blogger referring to RFC support as Klan or Herrenvolk ... just remember some of you refer to the CFC support as Peado. That's called hypocrisy folks.

What an absolute load of bullshit, there is NO justification for singing "Jimmy Saville is one of your own" or ANY other ditty you might decide is highlighting child abuse. You want to highlight the plight of child abuse ... put your hand in your pocket & donate to the following: https://www.nspcc.org.uk/ http://napac.org.uk/ http://www.lucyfaithfull.org.uk/ https://www.childline.org.uk/ The above are just a few charities that are involved in helping to stop & highlight child abuse, they're always looking for cash or volunteers. Singing songs at a football match does the sweet sum of absoluteky fuck all in highlighting the sickening world that these victims have suffered/are suffering/will suffer. There is no other reason for singing those songs that to actually use their plight for your own amusement. Tell yourself what ever you want that will sooth your conscience but what ever tale that is, just know you're wrong.

Using child abuse as a way to point score against a football rival ... that's a great idea (!!)
