Rossiter injured again

89 posts in this topic

Crooks, McKay, Senderos and Wilson all playing against Ross County u20s this afternoon, but Rossiter has another set back with his calf injury.

Concerning him, Crooks and Windass seem to be struggling for fitness since they joined us.

Actually it's not concerning but really pissing me off.

Barton kranjcsr and him would probably have been our 3 highest paid players, none have worked out. A think Rossister looked a great prospect but can't afford to have him if he's constantly injured

It's been the story of our season

We got Niko up to full fitness and he was looking unstoppable and then boof, he's out for the season.

Rossiter is only 19/20 so there's no great rush to throw him back in, we'll get the best years out of him eventually

It's concerning that the new boys are struggling for fitness, can't just be a coincidence.

Why does the club not get to the bottom of this thing? Either his calf is prone to injury therefore his football career is suffering or the treatment/rest periods are not adequate?

Rossister a believe has had injury problems with Liverpool aswell.

And I hope u20's is where Senderos stays. We've got a more than decent centre half pairing now with Hill and Kiernan, possibly Wilson with Hill when he's back

We were extremely lucky with injuries last season and it's pretty much a case of it evening itself out this season.

One point however that sticks out is that most injuries seem to be happening in training rather than in games so would question if training has significantly changed this year or again, if it is just luck.

Fair enough but he seemed to be fit enough when playing for England in the summer.

I wonder how much emphasis there is on basic fitness and running in training?

The likes of Clint Hill didn't look fit and ready to play when he came into the team and has only achieved a decent level of fitness by playing games.

Rossiters setback was a few weeks ago when he was almost ready to come back. It's not brand new. Lack of communication leads to rumours though.

We seem to be buying players with well known injury problems.

I think our training injuries are linked to our pressing style. We complete more short sharp sprints and seen to pick up loads of strains etc. Liverpool under Klopp have the same issue.

It's on the website today, Warburton talking about it.

Yeah I've wondered that also, I'm believing it's just bad luck at the moment as I can't see Warburton. Hanging his ways and preparation that much. Also the likes of Holt has made a full recovery and managed to stay fit,

Sometimes happens with young players as their still growing and maturing. If I remember rightly Gerrard is probably the most famous for suffering through injuries early in his career and he turned out ok. It happens, just hope he gets over it and lives up to the early promise.

I agree, We seem to get more players injured during training than actually playing for us.

Really hope we don't have another Jamie Ness on our hands.

I think Rossiter will go on to be a better player than Scott Brown in my opinion #ticktock.

Was during the Kilmarnock game he picked it up, was it not?

Yes it was at Rugby Park near end of August. These things take time.No point in rushing anyone back who is not 100%

Not to be funny mate, I'm sure if it was that simple they would have already got to the bottom of it. Players get injured, sometimes luck goes against the team and we have multiple injuries.
