Aye, was it under Sir Walter that we knocked back Hartson because we thought he was a risk after being stung, paying big money for crocks, I thought we had learned a lesson.

Advocaat mate.

And I hope u20's is where Senderos stays. We've got a more than decent centre half pairing now with Hill and Kiernan, possibly Wilson with Hill when he's back

Still scratch my head at that signing? It made no sense what so ever and even more so that he doesn't feature in the 1st team

Rossiters setback was a few weeks ago when he was almost ready to come back. It's not brand new. Lack of communication leads to rumours though.

Also if the calf muscle problem was a tear as opposed to a strain then it takes a lot longer to heal, especially if you are homesick

Panic buy mate. TBH Warburton only had 8 months to find centre halfs, so can't blame him.

I still think there's something wrong with tge training,

The fact we don't learn from it or get better is certainly wrong, regardless of injuries.

A beneficiary of the term the longer you're out, the better you get.

He looked decent; nothing more, nothing less. Did we even get a collective 90 minutes out him?

Yet, you'd think we had the white Michael Essien on our books.

He's only around 19, have you watched his youtube videos of all his Liverpool performances? He looks class to me in my opinion

Jay Beattie looks good on YouTube.

Don't understand why he's so highly rated on here, looked average. That being said he needs time to develop and hopefully he gets over these injuries.

We were extremely lucky with injuries last season and it's pretty much a case of it evening itself out this season.

One point however that sticks out is that most injuries seem to be happening in training rather than in games so would question if training has significantly changed this year or again, if it is just luck.

Probably an outcome of the level we're shopping at.

Players who reach the top not only have the better skills & awareness, but they usually have the physicality to make it all work on a regular basis.

Those from further down the ladder are at that level for a reason.

I'm sure that on the right day, at the right time, all our players are individually pretty good (I'm serious, you don't get to their level without having something!), but, as started to show last spring, they don't have what it takes to produce consistently, without something giving way.

I think that Rossiter is apparently held in high regard as a bright talent in England and Liverpool, and I'm sure there was even a period where Brendan Rodgers started giving Rossiter gametime and starts in cup games etc. where Rossiter performed well before getting an injury which kept him out for a while, so I think that even Brendan probably rates him highly.

There is even a quote in this interview where Klopp discusses Rossiter where Klopp describes Rossiter as

Quote

We need him at the moment, a young player with a big talent. It would have been good for him if he could be with us but he can't.'

And these are peope who saw him playing in real life, not on YouTube.

Aye world beater now i read someone saying yesterday we had to wait on Rossiter growing as he was a young lad its shite like that that makes you wonder if posters even want Rangers to progress, we are needing players now.

I actually think Rossiter is a good player and would be in my strongest 11 right now if he was fully fit.

Not seen a lot of Crooks but he seems to be taking a while to get up to match speed and read in another thread he looked off the pace with the 20s yesterday, doesn't sound promising.

I honestly don't see the hype with the kid - but I know it's probably more me than him as you don't play regular for England under 20/21's if your not a good player

just not my type of player - Hemdani'esque i.e. Neat and tidy, never puts a food wrong but prefer a different style of player personally

A lot of people saying they don't see the hype with Rossiter - well who in this squad, do, they see the hype with?

Just because a couple draws happen, people make out as if every player has failed to step up this season etc.,

The thing with Rossiter is, that he is already the best DM in the squad (Halliday isn't definitely better in that role) - he's good at tackling, good at marking, good at passing and long passing. If he was already great at scoring from outside the box and things like that then he would be too good for this club as he already had a bit of a 'the next Gerrard' reputation while at Liverpool

rumour was barton questioned the intensity of the training at murray park, and thats what sparked everything, no happy on potential injuries

I've not seen enough of him to comment i hope your right though. Seems a bit Jamie Ness at the moment.

Defo agree. Very average but as I said in my previous post it might just be me that's wrong.
